Mermaids, mermaids everywhere

…and I couldn’t think of a good ‘And not a drop to drink’ pun.

Anyway, I’ve guest reviewed two mermaid films for Fae Awareness Month, Night Tide and She Creature. Check out the whole month: there’s tons of awesome posts. Plus, an awesome give-away, including my very own A Little Night Swimming. So go enjoy the fae! Just don’t share their food.

On top of that, my Author Spotlight has been posted over at Forbidden Fiction. They’re celebrating GLBT month by interviewing authors of GLBT books. So if you’ve ever wonder why so many of my books are f/f or m/m, go and have a nosy!

New Site!

The new site is up and running, as you can see! It’s even got a purdy new mobile theme. All this is thanks to AngstyG, who I heartily recommend. There’s nifty new buy links and excerpts, it separates posts into general bloggage and news, and it’s also all nice and secure again (you wouldn’t believe the holes I’d poked in my own code to try and achieve something less than half this nifty).

Of course, the best way to honour the new site is with some new books for you to purchase. Watch this space!

New Story!

Cover for A Little Night Swimming

She swallowed and pushed away from the rock beneath her feet. Treading water now, she let the rocking of the waves pull her closer to Sheaar. Becky was a strong swimmer, like anyone who grew up beside the sea, though a little voice at the back of her head was screaming at her now. The thing was, it wasn’t the little voice that warned her against doing dangerous things, no. It wasn’t the voice that could cut through any drunken haze when she was considering climbing that wall or jumping that gap or swimming in that water. It sounded a lot more like the little voice that warned her against doing unfeminine things, that warned her not to dwell on certain dreams and not to spend time with certain girls.

It definitely didn’t like this girl, that was for certain.

A Little Night Swimming is available now from Forbidden Fiction, from their site (99c), Amazon ($1.12), and ARe (99c).

It’s a short story (4200 words) and it’s f/f, a coupling I haven’t dabbled in since Three Crow Press.  And as you may have gathered from the cover, it’s about a mermaid!

Quick PSA

Sorry for going quiet. I have a ton of stuff to post, but I haven’t had a chance recently. It’s the Easter hols, so the day job is taking up six days a week (including some 6:45 AM starts!). You’ll notice this tends to happen during school holidays. Come May I should be etting back up to speed again 🙂
